2004 Tour De France
In the summer of 2004 we had a gig with outdoor life network (now called vs.) to be a part of their tour de france coverage. Our team consisted of Steve Olpin (shooter/director) Hans Rey (host) Magnus Henrickson (translator and driver) and myself as editor. We followed the tour from town to town and did mini 2-3 minute segments of stories along the periphreal of the tour. Our segment was called "Excuse my French". We would produce 2-4 of these per day. It was a Very fun time. Lots of work though. We traveled in an RV and a minivan with a final cut pro system. That was the first time I had ever worked under such a gnarly looming deadline, every day for 28 days. click below to see two samples.
